They're usually saved until closer to the end of the regular season, but that's okay.  Just three games into the girls' high school volleyball regular season, the Central Cobblers and Stevens Raiders hit the hardwood to renew their crosstown rivalry.  Raiders take it. Final Score 3 to 1.

The Cobblers and Raiders are set for their showdown on the girls volleyball court.  The Raiders head into the contest 2-0 while Central is 1-1.  It's a little earlier for this contest than either team would like, but they'll make the most of it.

The Saint Thomas More volleyball team has high hopes for this coming season. The roster remains mostly intact from last season, and this week's Athlete of the Week wants to give her teammates the State Tournament experience she had two years ago. 

The Central Cobbler may have split the first two games of their season in their opening weekend, but head coach Shelly Wolfe is calling it a successful weekend.

With the Central Hockey Season less than two months away, the Rapid City Rush bolstered their defensive unit with two signings Tuesday.  The Rush brought back rookie of the year Danny Battochio and welcomed in defensive standout Vladimir Hartinger.

Stevens and Sturgis two great wrestling rivals squaring off on the links Tuesday afternoon.  First hole, second shot for Sturgis' Clay Kopplin who hits the beautiful approach it sticks on the green just feet from the cup.

The calendar hasn't even reached September but we're already being treated to our first Central-Stevens game of the high school season.
